AI that works where your data lives: introducing Zoom AI On-Prem

Regulated enterprises have been locked out of the AI productivity wave. A new deployment model changes that.

Every major enterprise wants AI, but not every major enterprise can use it the way it's been offered until now. For organizations in data-constrained regions and regulated industries like financial services, government, healthcare, and legal, the calculus has been frustrating: cloud-based AI means data leaves your environment, and data leaving your environment is sometimes a risk you can't accept. While the rest of the market races ahead with AI-generated summaries, real-time transcription, and agentic search, some of these organizations have been left behind — not because they're skeptical of AI, but because no one has given them a deployment model that fits their constraints.

CIOs at banks, defense agencies, and hospital systems aren't asking whether they should use AI. They're asking how to use it without violating the data governance policies they spent years building. And until now, the answer has mostly been to wait, pilot something small, watch less-regulated competitors move faster, or cobble together an internal solution that's expensive to maintain.

We built Zoom AI On-Prem to end that trade-off.

We bring the AI to your infrastructure

Zoom AI On-Prem delivers powerful AI capabilities — beginning with real-time captions and transcription for Zoom Meetings — on your physical servers or private cloud tenant. Your environment, your rules.

The Zoom experience your teams know and trust stays intact — the AI processing just happens behind your firewall instead of the Zoom cloud. At launch, that means automatic speech recognition in English, French, German, and Swedish, with more languages coming soon. Meeting summaries, meeting questions, and agentic search are on the roadmap for later this year, with expanding capabilities deployed wherever your data needs to stay.

Your teams don't need to learn anything new, either. Zoom AI On-Prem plugs into the same Zoom Workplace experience they use every day — same UI, same workflows, same reliability. The only thing that changes is where the AI processing happens.

On-prem without the headaches

Here's the part that usually kills on-prem AI projects: maintenance. Managing models, patching software, and keeping pace with a field that reinvents itself every quarter. We took that off the table. Zoom manages integration, updates, patches, and orchestration remotely while you own the environment.

Zoom AI On-Prem supports two deployment models depending on your infrastructure. On-premises means Zoom AI models running on your physical servers. Private cloud means those same models running within your own AWS or OCI tenant. Both are deployed through Zoom Node: you add the orchestration platform to your Zoom Workplace license, then enable the AI module. Either way, Zoom handles the orchestration layer, and you get the latest capabilities without managing the AI stack yourself.

And the architecture isn't static. It's designed to scale from speech recognition today to meeting intelligence and agentic search later this year. You're not buying a point solution that peaks at transcription — you're getting a deployment model that evolves alongside Zoom AI. Most AI in the market today is cloud-first and document-centric. Zoom's focus is different: conversation-centric intelligence, built around the meetings where real decisions happen, now available wherever our customers need it to live.

AI your way, available now

Zoom Node is already supporting successful hybrid deployments with highly regulated organizations — enterprises that face data residency mandates, sovereignty requirements, and compliance frameworks that dictate exactly where infrastructure can run.

Now, we're extending that same flexibility to key AI processing. Organizations that have trusted Zoom Node to meet their strictest infrastructure requirements can now add AI capabilities that respect those same boundaries, deployed the same way, in the same environments where their data already lives.

For years, regulated enterprises have faced a false binary: AI-powered productivity or enhanced data control. Zoom AI On-Prem provides a platform to support both.

Available June 22, 2026, through the Zoom Node add-on to paid Zoom Workplace plans. Deployment is supported through our enterprise sales team and Zoom Professional Services.
