SPEAKHIRE is a New York City-based nonprofit that develops the social and cultural capital of individuals, primarily serving those from immigrant families, to help them become leaders in the workforce. The nonprofit works with students, schools, and government partners to prepare and empower young people for the future.
As a hybrid-operating nonprofit, SPEAKHIRE delivers their programming in-person and virtually. Each year, they engage over 1,000 youth across NYC through virtual Leadership Courses, Career Seminars, and a yearlong Foundational Year program, many of which require breakout rooms, live translation, and secure access for students and working professionals.
Zoom enables the team to deliver these high-touch programs efficiently while also hosting professional development and community workshops — including their annual Symposiums — for professionals, school and community partner organizations, and families. These events often bring together hundreds of participants.
