About Schoolhouse World

Schoolhouse.world is a platform for free, peer-to-peer tutoring where anyone, anywhere can receive live help, build their skills, and pay it forward by becoming a tutor themselves. It was co-founded by Sal Khan, the creator of Khan Academy.

Schoolhouse.world’s goal is to connect the world through learning, by providing high-quality, free online tutoring in a variety of subjects. These online tutoring sessions are conducted in small-group sessions on a platform where learners can build confidence, find community, and regardless of their age, become a tutor themselves.

Our partnership and impact

Zoom Cares provided Schoolhouse.world with product donations to make the organization’s innovative, peer-to-peer tutoring platform free and accessible to learners around the world. Schoolhouse.world reaches learners from more than 100 countries, free of charge, and fosters a vibrant community of 17,040+ volunteer tutors and 127,600+ learners.

Zoom's product donation to Schoolhouse.world has allowed us to grow our impact from 0 to 100,000 learners in just 4 years, ensuring high school students around the world can receive world-class academic tutoring over Zoom, entirely for free.

Schoolhouse.world has really had an amazing impact on my confidence and growth when it comes to math. On this journey, I have also built some wonderful relationships with tutors who are super smart and very professional.
