AI note-taking uses artificial intelligence technology, voice and speech recognition, and machine learning to automatically record, transcribe, and organize meeting content in real time, eliminating the need for people to take notes manually. By handling tasks like transcription, summarization, and identifying action items, AI note-taking allows meeting participants to focus fully on the conversation while ensuring all important details are documented efficiently.
Yes, AI Companion includes an AI note taker. Zoom’s AI note taker transcribes meetings in real time, then quickly summarizes the meeting and organizes notes on one page that’s easily accessible from your calendar. Zoom’s AI note-taking feature works with Zoom Meetings as well as third-party platforms like Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and WebEx (coming soon) Meetings.
AI Companion is available with paid Zoom Workplace plans. Explore plans and pricing.
When AI Companion joins your meeting, an image that says “Zoom AI Companion is transcribing…” will appear in the meeting. Additionally, in some platforms, a chat will be sent to participants to let them know that AI Companion will be transcribing the discussion, and AI Companion users have the option to alert meeting participants on third-party platforms with an email ahead of the meeting.
As an account owner or administrator, you can manage and share cloud recordings. You can also set permissions for who can view or edit recordings and share them using links or invites.
Zoom does not use any customer audio, video, chat, screen sharing, attachments, or other communications-like customer content (such as poll results, whiteboard, and reactions) to train Zoom’s or its third-party artificial intelligence models. Yes, Zoom's AI note-taking tool automatically summarizes meetings and extracts action items. It works by transcribing calls, identifying key discussion points, decisions, and actionable tasks, and then generating summaries. Zoom's AI note taker integrates with popular video conferencing platforms to provide real-time insights and post-meeting deliverables, whether you're the meeting host or not. Additionally, Zoom offers custom meeting summary templates that can be tailored for different meeting types such as one-on-ones, brainstorming sessions, or customer calls, making the automated summaries more relevant to specific meeting contexts.
