Zoom acquires BrightHire, adding AI-powered hiring lifecycle capabilities to Zoom Workplace

Adding BrightHire to the Zoom platform builds on the AI tools we’ve designed for better conversations and faster, more informed decisions, with a suite of features specifically designed for interviews. BrightHire empowers leading talent teams to leverage the intelligence embedded in every interview, driving measurable improvements in both quality of hire and process efficiency.

Founded in 2019, BrightHire created the interview intelligence category and is trusted by hundreds of enterprises, including Canva, Duolingo, HCA Healthcare, Instacart, Lucid Group, Ramp, and SoFi, to elevate hiring outcomes. Importantly, like Zoom, BrightHire is grounded in a responsible approach to AI. One of BrightHire’s core values is to put candidates first — with AI designed to augment hiring, not replace human decision-making. 

While many recruiting solutions focus on candidate sourcing or post-hire processes, BrightHire delivers insight and efficiency across the entire hiring process by helping teams plan, conduct, and analyze interviews more effectively. Zoom invested in BrightHire in 2021, and since then, we have worked closely together to deliver top-tier integrations for our customers. We are excited to help accelerate BrightHire’s growth by bringing their platform to more Zoom customers and providing resources and AI capabilities to strengthen their platform — all while maintaining their cross-platform ethos.

BrightHire is a natural extension of Zoom’s AI-first Workplace platform, expanding our offerings across mission-critical hiring and recruiting workflows. 

With BrightHire joining Zoom and Workvivo, we’re creating a seamless talent journey from discovering and hiring the right people to inspiring and engaging them once they join. It’s all part of our vision for a more connected, intelligent workplace.

With this acquisition, the Zoom platform will gain a comprehensive talent lifecycle suite with AI-powered interview tools. This includes interview planning, automated insights, real-time coaching, and data-driven hiring decisions that enhance quality and improve candidate experience.

BrightHire customers will continue to have access to the AI platform they know and trust, across any platform where they work, while gaining the benefits of Zoom's scale, resources, and expanded AI capabilities, fueling faster innovation, unlocking product synergies, and accelerating their roadmap.

The transaction is expected to close in the coming weeks, when we’ll welcome BrightHire CEO Ben Sesser and the BrightHire team to Zoom. Together with BrightHire, we’re helping every organization make smarter and faster hiring decisions right where work happens: on Zoom.
