インスタント メッセージ（IM）はコミュニケーション形態の一種で、2 人以上の人がリアルタイムで会話に参加し、コンピュータやタブレット端末、モバイル デバイス上で互いにメッセージをやりとりするものです。

IM をするためには、多くの場合スタンドアロンのアプリケーションや組み込みのソフトウェアを使用します。IM セッションをユーザー 2 人で行う場合はプライベートなスペースを別に設け、複数人で行う場合は大規模なチャネルで行います。インスタント メッセージは通常、メッセージをすばやくやりとりします。そこがメールのコミュニケーションとは違う特徴です。IM の即時性は対面での会話と似通っており、一方メールはバーチャル バージョンの手書きの手紙または従来の郵便だと言えます。

Once connected, you can chat, share files, and meet with external contacts. If your external contact doesn’t already have a Zoom account, they’ll receive an invitation to join Zoom.
