About An Cosán
An Cosán, is Ireland’s largest community education organization, dedicated to empowering women and children in traditionally underserved and socio-economically disadvantaged communities through transformative educational programs. Their ‘One Generation Solution’ is based on the approach that if you educate a mother, you empower her whole family and inspire their wider community to value and appreciate the transformative benefits of education.
Our partnership and impact
An Cosán was awarded funding as part of the 2024 HerFuture Economic Opportunity Grant. The funding is being used to support the Learner Bursary Fund, enabling more learners, particularly those on low incomes or in challenging life circumstances to access educational opportunities, and to enhance critical counselling support services through employing a specialist clinical counselor.
