Zoom spaces new innovations

Today, Zoom introduced new innovations for Zoom Spaces, including AI-first experiences such as photo check-in for Visitor Management, Recorder with AI Companion for Zoom Rooms, plus collaborations with HP, Google, Cisco, Meta, Logitech, and more.

"The future of office work is being revolutionized. Zoom Spaces transform how we think about collaboration by creating dynamic environments where innovation and productivity aren't limited by physical presence," said Jeff Smith, head of Product for Workplace AI, Meetings, and Spaces at Zoom. "Through cutting-edge AI-first technologies like photo check-in for Visitor Management and Recorder with AI Companion for Zoom Rooms, Zoom Spaces is fostering a more connected, inclusive workspace that adapts to how modern teams actually work, enabling human connection and engagement whether you're in the office or joining a meeting remotely."

Immersive experiences with Google and HP

Zoom is collaborating with Google and HP to bring Google Beam to enterprises on the newly announced HP Dimension with Google Beam.

  • HP Dimension with Google Beam will provide a native Zoom Rooms experience that will support three functions: new 3D immersive communication, 2D traditional video meetings, and 2D video meeting interoperability with cloud-based video services such as Microsoft Teams and Webex.

Zoom AI helps to drive inclusive collaboration

Zoom is making it easier to collaborate regardless of location — whether joining a meeting in person or remotely — enhancing meeting inclusion and productivity for in-office, hybrid, and fully remote workers.

  • Visitor Management enables employees to seamlessly invite guests to the office, alert hosts when guests arrive, initiate badge printing, and more. To streamline and expedite the check-in process, visitors will have the option to use photo check-in at a Zoom Rooms kiosk without the need for a code. Leveraging AI, Visitor Management can match the visitor to their photo uploaded during registration to check in the visitor immediately. (Expected to be available in September.)

Photo check-in streamlines the visitor check-in process.

  • Workspace Reservation with AI Companion helps employees manage their in-office time by recommending which days to go into the office based on scheduled meetings and when colleagues are expected to be in the office; it can also book a recommended desk or a Zoom Room for users. (Day, room, and desk suggestions are available today. Integration with AI Companion is expected later in June.)

  • Smart name tags make meetings more inclusive by applying name tags to people in the Zoom Room video, and showing a speaker indication if they are talking. When smart name tags for voice is enabled, contributions from speakers during a meeting can be attributed to related features like captions, transcriptions, and AI Companion meeting summaries.

Maximize in-person time with better meetings

Zoom is helping organizations make the most of their in-person time by empowering users with technology that strengthens connections with colleagues, customers, and partners.

  • Zoom’s Voice Recorder with AI Companion has expanded availability from mobile devices to Zoom Rooms. Recorder with AI Companion for Zoom Rooms enables users to hold in-person meetings and conversations in Zoom Rooms without the need to take notes, allowing participants to stay focused on the discussion. Recorder with AI Companion can transcribe conversations, generate meeting summaries, and capture action items. Users simply enter a Zoom Room and enable Recorder with AI Companion with a few quick taps, even in meetings without virtual participants. It will also capture whiteboards and any content shared on-screen during the session, so nothing is missed.
  • To make it easier to take ownership of meeting assets like meeting summaries, recordings, and whiteboards from an ad-hoc meeting in a Zoom Room, a participant in the Zoom Room can claim and save those meeting assets by scanning a QR code or by pairing their mobile device to move the assets to their account through an email notification.

Claim and save makes transferring ownership of meeting assets easier.

Leverage a robust, open ecosystem

Zoom empowers users with choice and flexibility. Organizations can choose from a growing array of solutions, leveraging compatible existing investments or choosing new hardware from an ecosystem of industry-leading partners.

New ways to connect via Zoom Meeting

  • Zoom and Cisco are partnering to provide customers with more choice and flexibility on their meeting platforms and devices from their shared rooms. Zoom for Cisco Rooms will soon be available on Cisco collaboration devices for ad hoc and scheduled meetings, allowing customers to utilize their existing hardware and broaden their meeting experiences. Meeting participants will soon have a similar high-quality experience to the Zoom native app and will be able to join meetings and share content seamlessly, as well as control various layouts like smart gallery and multi-speaker view. Customers who want to take advantage of this joint collaboration will need to upgrade Cisco RoomOS to install Zoom for Cisco Rooms. The following devices are expected to apply for the Zoom Certified Hardware Program:
    • Cisco Room Bar
    • Cisco Room Bar Pro
    • Cisco Board Pro
    • Cisco Board Pro G2
    • Cisco Desk Pro
    • Cisco Room Kit EQ
    • Cisco Room Kit EQX
    • Cisco Room Kit Pro
Zoom for Cisco Rooms is expected to be generally available by the end of 2025. To learn more, contact a Zoom account representative.
  • Zoom is coming to mixed reality on Meta Quest. Host or participate in Zoom Meetings while working in your Quest headset. Use your Quest as the ultimate workstation and take advantage of the extra screen space to engage in your call while also working on other apps. Join the Zoom Meeting while fully immersed to boost your focus or join in passthrough mode to still see your physical surroundings while on the call. Zoom Meetings can be a mix of participants using both Meta Quest headsets and other devices like computers and mobile devices, so you can communicate with anyone. (Expected to be available in July 2025.)

Boost employee engagement

  • To help promote a more informed and engaged workforce, the Appspace integration with Zoom Rooms enables AppSpace digital signage to be displayed in Zoom Rooms when they are not being used for calls and presentations.

Expanding the hardware ecosystem

  • Logitech has several new device certifications to help support the hybrid workforce:
    • Logitech's Rally Bar with Sight is now the first Zoom Rooms Appliance certified to support Intelligent Director, which uses multiple cameras and AI to determine the best angle of the individuals in a Zoom Room to display within a meeting.
    • Users can also video-enable their open spaces and meeting rooms with Logitech’s new Rally Board 65, an all-in-one Zoom Certified Zoom Rooms Appliance that combines powerful audio and video capabilities with a 65-inch touchscreen display, offering seamless and intuitive collaboration while requiring minimal need for onsite IT support.
    • For users who take calls or meetings from their desk, or in a contact center, Logitech’s Zone Wired USB headset is now a Zoom Certified Workplace and Contact Center Headset, delivering premium audio and call clarity with advanced noise-cancelling microphone technology.
  • Zoom is expanding its Zoom Certified Hardware Program into:
    • Personal Productivity Devices: Zoom is collaborating with Elgato to bring meeting controls right to users’ fingertips via Stream Deck, including unmuting a microphone and turning on the camera.
    • Document Cameras: WolfVision Visualizers work seamlessly with Zoom Rooms and Zoom Workplace enabling direct sharing of real-world content, such as printed materials, handwritten notes, or physical objects, in Zoom Meetings. Start sharing with a single press directly from Zoom control panel or from a new dedicated button on the Visualizer’s user interface.

Custom AV solutions

  • Custom AV for Zoom Rooms now provides high-quality outputs for Zoom Meetings, including the ability to specify gallery sizes, overlays, and content. These professional AV protocols are now available for Windows and macOS Zoom Rooms.
  • To provide seamless live production capabilities to individual content creators, mid-sized corporate teams, or enterprise-level broadcasters, Vizrt is using Zoom Meeting SDK to deliver enhanced capabilities with TriCaster. This collaboration enables participants to join broadcasts from wherever they are.
  • Blackmagic Design's DeckLink Duo 2 and Quad 2 have recently received certification in the newly announced Zoom Custom AV certification category. When paired with Zoom Rooms, they provide multiple high-quality video outputs, enhancing the Custom AV experience for Zoom Rooms.
