Our commitment and approach to preventing CSEA

At Zoom, we aim to provide a safe, open, and diverse platform free from harmful or malicious activity. We therefore have a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual exploitation and abuse material ("CSEA").

What is CSEA?

CSEA refers to any content that depicts or promotes the sexual abuse or exploitation of children. This material is strictly prohibited on our platform, as outlined in our Acceptable Use Guidelines.

How Zoom Detects CSEA

We use a combination of advanced detection tools and human review to detect and prevent the spread of CSEA. When potential violations are flagged by either our tools, a Zoom user or someone aware of potential CSEA on Zoom, our Trust and Safety team reviews the content and, when appropriate, reports it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children ("NCMEC") and relevant law enforcement agencies.

We permanently suspend any accounts involved in sharing, storing, or promoting CSEA on our platform.

How to Report CSEA

If you become aware of potential CSEA on Zoom, please report it immediately using our Trust Form. Our team will immediately review the material and take appropriate action. We also encourage reporting directly to law enforcement and filing a report with NCMEC. When reporting CSEA, do not share, download, or upload any sensitive content, as doing so could be deemed criminal.

Commitment

Zoom is dedicated to user protection and empowerment. We continuously evaluate new strategies to combat exploitative material on our platform and take our responsibility to prevent the spread of CSEA seriously.
