About ASEc+
Associação pela Saúde Emocional é uma Organização da Sociedade Civil (ASEc+) is a Brazilian nonprofit that promotes mental health and well-being by training teachers, educators, parents and adults to become promoters of psychological and social well-being of children and adolescents in educational and learning environments.
ASEc+ (Association for Emotional Health) has been promoting mental health in Brazil since 2004. It was a pioneer in bringing to Brazil the universal, evidence-based programs of the global network led by the British NGO Partnership for Children. Today, it operates on three fronts: education, communities, and advocacy, having directly benefited more than half a million people across the country. ASEc+ has been recognized as a Civil Society Organization of Public Interest since 2022 and is a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact. In 2023, it was granted special consultative status by the UN Economic and Social Council.
Our partnership and impact
Since 2022, Zoom Cares has been providing structural support to ASEc+ by funding new solutions, updating programs, and fostering community development. With this support, the Alumni Community was created—a virtual space for connection, belonging, and the development of initiatives for all those who have participated in ASEc+ programs. Likewise, it enabled the establishment of the Young Mental Health Ambassadors Community, an essential initiative focused on peer education, knowledge production, and the dissemination of mental health promotion tools.
