World Governments Summit relied on Zoom for its communication needs

The World Government Summit in Dubai is considered to be a pivotal event with far-reaching implications, both within and beyond the borders of the region. This annual gathering provides a platform for leaders, policymakers, and experts to address pressing global challenges, share innovative ideas, and foster sustainable development. The WGS serves as a nexus for international dialogue and collaboration, helping to facilitate the exchange of best practices and solutions that have global resonance. 

This is why we at Zoom are proud to have supported the 2024 Summit as the official communications platform for the third consecutive year. Zoom played a key role in connecting government and private sector leaders from around the world, utilizing its AI capabilities and productivity tools.

The entire event was streamed, with up to 100.000 concurrent users able to watch it with real-time audio translation. Using the robust virtual infrastructure of Zoom Webinars, visitors could join the event via the official WGS website, mobile apps, or social media. 

By utilizing Zoom ISO, the WGS team was able to connect the virtual speakers to their existing media production system, creating new possibilities to reach interested users while keeping their existing process and high-end equipment. Using Zoom SDK, our platform integrated seamlessly with the WGS infrastructure. 

Language barriers were no problem since Zoom Webinars platform enabled real-time interpretation by experts. In addition, we updated our platform to support even more languages with our automatic translated caption feature. We now support 35 languages, among them Arabic (MSA), French, German, Persian, and Tagalong.
