Zoom Technologies Dialer Awarded Internet Telephony® Product of the Year

Boston, MA— Zoom Telephonics, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZOOM) announced today that its Zoom Dialer Model 24 has been named a Product of the Year by Internet Telephony® magazine. Internet Telephony is the premier publication in the rapidly growing IP telephony industry.

The Model 24 Dialer is designed to increase traffic for Voice Over IP carriers, prepaid calling services, dial-around services, and other long distance service providers. The inexpensive dialer plugs into a RJ-11 modular jack, just like a telephone, and provides store-and-forward dialing to all the telephones plugged into the same phone line as the dialer. When a user dials a long distance phone number, the dialer stores the dialed number, and then dials and routes the call based upon large, flexible routing tables. The dialer can be remotely programmed by a service provider using a PC and easy-to-use management software provided by Zoom.

Patented technology in the Zoom Dialer allows it to control all of the phone traffic on a customer's phone line with a simple plug-in connection at any phone jack.

When the Model 24 dialer is installed on a customer's phone line, service providers can capture all of the revenue-generating calls from the customer's home or office without accepting other unwanted traffic like 800 or 911 calls.
